InnerMission: Extended Play

It's summertime!  Schoolwork grinds to a halt and summer activities move to the forefront.  Summer seems like it was made for play.  This summer, we want to offer an extended time of play in InnerMission.  So, starting Sunday, June 5th we will begin new extended play hours.

After everyone arrives we will (weather permitting) head over to McClure Middle School's field.  It's just a short walk down a wooded path in my neighborhood. Then we will play games like, ultimate, kickball, etc.

Following a time of play, I will teach a 15 minute lesson and then allow high school and middle school to break off into their groups for discussion.  So, bring a snack, bring a friend and come ot InnerMission:Extended Play!

P.S. - If you haven't tried us in a while or you've let the busyness of school take you away, come out a try it out again.

Dating by the Book Seminar

Has this happened to you?  You are sitting at home, the phone rings, you pick it up to answer it only to find there is a boy on the other line asking to speak to your daugter.  Or...as you are picking your son up from school, you see a little girl pass him a note and blush.  Or...as you stop by your high schoolers Facebook page you notice their status says, "In a relationship".  Overnight it seems like your children when from playing with friends to finding a boyfriend or girlfriend.  Suddenly you find yourself asking questions like, "What does the Bible say about dating?", "When shoudl I let my child date?", "What does dating look like in a Christian home?" If this sounds like you, consider coming to the Dating by the Book dating seminar on August 5th and 6th.  Veteran youth pastor (and father of three grown children) Matt Brinkley will share his perspective on what the Word has to say about teenage relationships.
